Sandy Matsuda, PhD, OTR/L, currently researches the neuropsychological and physical effects of tai chi for women cancer survivors with Stephanie Reid-Arndt, PhD, ABPP, a health psychologist. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Missouri, Sandy researched the effects of teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and yoga to students. Certified to teach Tai Chi Fundamentals (TCF) under Tricia Yu, Sandy now integrates tai chi movements and principles in wellness and therapy programs and teaches therapeutic use of tai chi for health professionals through continuing education. Recently retired, Sandy is interested in helping to expand and improve the teaching of tai chi through sharing teaching methods and applying research findings with others.
